INNER LANDSCAPES, A Journey Into Awareness
/ 31 October - 3 November 2024
A yin-infused winter retreat on the island of Rügen.

restorative practices • slow living • clay workshop • sound bath • cacao ceremony

This retreat is an invitation for you to slow down, unwind and slip into the world of yin and your inner landscapes.

“When you move half as fast you notice twice as much.”  The act of holding still both in body and mind is a sizeable departure from the constant stream of stimulation and activity we have become accustomed to.
This is why we have decided to offer a get-away focussing solely on slow - and meditative practices strengthening the art of being rather than doing.

We want to cultivate the yin qualities in ourselves such as acceptance, quiet, harmony and depth by offering you different tools. We will support an embodied presence by encouraging curiosity and giving permission and allowing time to explore.

When we become present in this way, space and time have a way of shifting. We grow vast. And this felt experience is a soothing energetic tonic for the racing mind. When we emerge from a “Yin” - infused practice, we carry away a remembrance of this expansive self that helps put all the other things into perspective.

You are invited to stretch out and discover yourself beyond your comfort zone, roles and patterns. The daily practices that are shared within these days are designed to quieten your inner landscapes and help you stay with the experiences rather than always rushing and striving to achieve.

This retreat is a mindful and thought through blend combining practices from Yin Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga — supporting your nervous system, calming the minds inner landscape and helping you sink into stillness.

You can expect daily nourishing meditative practices that encourages your awareness to turn inward: slow - and restorative yin yoga classes paired with longer meditations and pranayama exercises. Besides our daily programme, we have two amazing co-creators as part of our retreat.

Uliana Tepikina is a ceramic artist living in Berlin. Her intention is to create ceramics through which one can sense nature in everyday rituals. She will introduce you to the process of working with this natural material and guide you through a Slow Clay Workshop. Her workshop is meant to activate your senses, quieten your mind, nourish your soul and expand your heart space while crafting your individual piece of art.

The contact with clay is a direct connection to nature, it provides a grounding approach to ourselves and our surroundings. It stimulates our haptic sensations, helps us connect to the present moment and invites us to play and let go of the thinking mind. Let your hands guide you and enjoy the process of making.

In this workshop you craft your very own and individual piece of art using the most ancient ways of making pottery. You will be able and free to create cups/mugs/vessels for your personal rituals at home.

At the end of this retreat you will receive a home clay tool kit exclusively put together by Uliana with all the necessary essentials you need at home to get playful and creative. There is no previous experience needed for this workshop.

Laura Israel, Yoga Teacher, Sound Bath Facilitator & Reiki Master will join us on this retreat and take us on a magical and deeply relaxing evening Sound Bath experience as well as an extended Cacao Ceremony.

We go deep into our inner landscapes so that you leave having created space in your body, softened tension, balanced your nervous system and released blockages physically, and energetically.

our sacred retreat home

Üselitz Manor, a rebuilt and restored house from the 16th century, is situated in the village of Poseritz in the south of the island of Rügen, close to the Hanseatic town of Stralsund. The house is surrounded by park-like grounds, where you can find fruit trees, some more than one hundred years old, which continue to bear apples, pears, plums, nuts and other fruits. The view from the house and park benefits on all sides from its direct waterside situation. The water surrounding Üselitz Manor not only puts on spectacular displays of light and colour at all times of the year; it has also become a refuge for all kinds of species of birds, including cranes, herons, cormorants, grey geese and ducks.
